Why Do We Avoid Change? To Avoid Feeling. You Will Feel One Way Or Another.

It is Thursday, April 26th at 8am and I’ve been feeling tired since Tuesday, April 24th. travelling all of the weekend of April 21st – 22nd to get home from a 12 day trip in Toronto, Coral Springs and The Bahamas with 7 different hotels has caught up with me as I wasn’t getting any real cardio on the trip aside from some yoga stretches.

The No – Jet – Lag pills worked for a while.

I’m on my exercise bike now along with my client files for this day multitasking to get ready for 5 client calls while getting 90 minutes of cardio and writing this blog at the same time.

I’m at 11 minutes of cardio and circulation and energy are back and noting that it will take 3 consecutive days of 60 – 90 minutes of cardio to get completely back into the flow.

I’m laughing at myself as I have been doing 60 – 90 minutes of cardio, three times a week and multi-tasking while writing blogs for ages, so why not do cardio and get ready for client calls at the same time.

The idea of doing cardio while preparing for client appointments by reading the notes that I send my

client after each call and reading my client’s notes that they send in advance of our call hasn’t dawned on me until now.

Why don’t we change? Why do we stay doing the same routine things over and over and over?

While routine is a good thing, routine can become our jailor because we bury ourselves doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Why do we bury ourselves doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results?

We bury ourselves in routine so that we can put ourselves into a routine trance to disconnect from the way we feel because there are times that even though we are in a routine, routine keeps us safely tucked away from the way we feel about things that are simply not working or things that could be improved, things that we have been doing the same old way that could be done in a more productive way.

Sooner or later, we will feel.

We can get tired of the way we are feeling doing the same thing over and over again or we can be open to change and when we are approaching a particular project or task ask ourselves; how can I change my routine and become more productive and enjoy the process.

Life is about messages.

If we receive the message.

Then we get an attainment.

If we don’t get the message.

Then we create a problem.

If we don’t fix the problem.

Then we create a crisis.

Then we get the message.
