We Can’t Let Perfection Be The Enemy Of The Good

happy sad.jpg

Saturday was invested in a no-brainer day spent mostly on the couch practicing the fine are of doing nothing.

This weekend provides the luxury of not having to prepare for travel for the upcoming week as this fall has brought an amazing 12 Financial Advisor Public Speaking Presentations right across Canada that required 33 separate plane flights and I am so thankful that the travel is over for now. At the same time, building a business is about taking massive action and doing what the average person is unwilling to do and that is what we have done. It is about STP “See The People!”

The Canadian Liberal Leadership Political Party Convention was on TV and I checked in on the reporting over the course of the day.

One of the TV commentators was interviewing a delegate about the qualities of the different candidates and the delegate that was being interviewed said “we can’t let the pursuit of perfection be the enemy of the good”.

My spin an on that quote is as follows:

“We can’t let our unmet needs of approval, control, perfection, recognition, safety or worthiness be the enemy of our values and the value that we are meant to contribute to others”.
