Unpacking Old Friends

Following this week’s Blog of a play by play of a Coaching “Off Week” –

Yesterday’s Blog on Clean Up Your Office went into full throttle.

Yesterday I said;

This the day I clean up my office and my space.

True confession – I just moved in, set up my office and just went to work.

I didn’t really create a nurturing space in my office to create attraction – so today is the day.

So I went into full throttle Wednesday and it carried into Thursday.

As I looked around my office, while my desk, filing and computer systems where all up to speed – my office environment was not.

The pictures were there but not hung.

The books shelves were there but vacant of books.

The book shelves had become storage shelves for office stationary and supplies and the area around them had become a storage place for business briefcases & suitcases, laptop cases and projector cases for when I am on the road.

So what to do –

Clean up the storage room which would be timely given that it has been four months since we moved and we had already done a Clean Sweep on our environment before we moved – time to do another. If you would like a copy of the Clean Sweep Program you can Subscribe To My Free E-Newsletter And Obtain The Clean Sweep Program From The Resources Section Of My Web Site.

So I tackled the storage area and sorted through personal items and re-stored what were keepers and goodwill the rest will go. Space was now created so that I could put up shelves for office stationary and supplies. Next step was to remove the office stationary and supplies from my office to the storage room shelves. Next step was to unpack the boxes of books that have collected over the years – and I mean years.

The books go from when I was young and read The Trilogy of The Lord Of The Rings through to The 8th Habit by Stephen Covey and everywhere in between.
