Travel Day 5 – More Disconnects & Reconnects

It’s 3:15 pm and I’m at the Boise airport awaiting a 4:55 pm flight, via Denver, to Las Vegas where I’ll rejoin Laura at the NAIFA 2012 Conference.

My opening 90-minute presentation of What’s Your Ugly at Insurance Network America’s Top Advisor Summit was well received and it was a pleasure to be of service.

I’ve just finished a review of Wednesday’s 9 am 50-minute PowerPoint presentation of The One Page Business Plan at Pro-Seminars 2012 13th Annual National Advisor Conference … as it is important to connect the t’s and dot the i’s as there is lots of room for a disconnection.

Take this Monday morning as an example. I woke up at 5:30 am to meditate and to get ready to be in the presentation room at 7 am leaving an hour to get associated to the presentation room, stage and equipment.

Not long after 7 am I realize that my new Samsung Ultrabook requires a HDMI to VGA converter to connect to the Projector and the hour that I wanted to slowly connect to the room, stage and equipment was consumed by installing my PowerPoint onto another laptop which included the PowerPoint clicker which took two different clickers.

I started speaking on time and the PowerPoint clicker still wasn’t working and Matt, the A/V Technician, handed me the PowerPoint clicker about 4 minutes in … I didn’t miss a beat. Thank you Matt.

It is my job to show up fully connected – no matter what.

Just like 30 minutes ago getting off the phone with Simon Parson’s from IT Computer Services as Simon and I invested about 10 minutes while Simon coached me through reconfiguring my iPhone e-mail as it was not sending my e-mail …

Life continues to present countless opportunities for me to reconnect to my values, vision, mission and purpose.
