Reaching A Tipping Point

Heath Slawner presented The Power Of Persuasion at The Toronto Independent Financial Brokers Summit opening the Summit with Part 1 and closing the Summit with Part 2 of his presentation.

Heath’s presentation was excellent and he did a great job of engaging the audience and offering them insights on how they can apply The Power Of Persuasion to their financial advisor business.

Heath’s work is based on Robert Cialdini’s work on The Power Of Persuasion and it brought me back to my days with The Anthony Robbins Franchise when I facilitated The Power To Influence.

The 6 Universal Principals Of Persuasion are;

  • 1. Reciprocity
  • 2. Liking
  • 3. Social Proof
  • 4. Authority
  • 5. Consistency
  • 6. Scarcity

Heath did on-camera interviews with the delegates of the two-day Summit and used some of the footage in Part 2 of his presentation that focused on dealing with;

  • 1. Relationships
  • 2. Uncertainty
  • 3. Motivation

Thank you Heath for using the footage that you filmed of me on the subject of Motivation. This gave the audience one last impression of Leading AdvisorĀ at the end of The Toronto Independent Financial Brokers Summit.

Heath asked me; “How does one stay motivated?” and “Should you share your goals?”

I believe that one must stay associated to their vision and go public with their goals.

While we are nearing the completion of writing the Leading Advisor Workshop with a potential sponsor in sight, I believe that we are nearing the summit of this leg of our five year vision and some of the milestones from bottom to top include;

We connected with past and current clients and it is nice to see more and more friendly faces in the audience

The Compassionate Advisor and The Six Degrees Of Life Insurance Connection were a hit and we are happy to be able to add them to our catalogue of financial advisor public speaking titles

The Referral Cards were a hit

The Compassionate Advisor and The Six Degrees Of Life Insurance Connection were recorded so that we can transcribe them and send copies to financial advisor speaking prospects, create future articles and e-books

I really feel like I have nailed The Elevator Speech, The Parable and The Financial Advisor Parable to enable us to again create future articles and e-books

We received loads of Curing The Unmet Needs – How To Prosper In Business By Meeting Your Unmet Needs book sales, coaching prospects, financial advisor speaking leads and financial advisor speaking testimonials

I was filmed for Investment Executive’s IE:TV and Heath Slawner’s The Power Of Persuasion presentation

Our speaking time slots of first of the day and right after lunch allowed us to place our speaking handouts on the chairs with lots of time in advance of the presentation

What do we need to improve?

  • Bring more speaking folios
  • Conduct on camera interviews with speaking presentation attendees
  • Consider offering team building workshops to the financial advisor corporates
  • Contact other financial advisor speaking dates in the same time slot
  • Invite exhibitors in advance to our financial advisor speaking presentations
  • Network with exhibitors
  • Our booth location
  • Produce E-Books that include; The Compassionate Advisor, The Elevator Speech, The Parable and The Financial Advisor Parable and The Six Degrees Of Life Insurance Connection

I have some coaching calls on Thursday and we are flying home from Toronto on Thursday afternoon and Friday is a Free day.

I’m going to shifting my daily blogging in June, July and August to blogging once or twice a week so that I can focus on financial advisor coaching, financial advisor speaking sales and product development.
