Powerless

It is Good Friday morning and I’m feeling powerless having had the intention of investing this Friday morning into creative time to finish the Breakthrough! How To Breakthrough The Plateauing Out Syndrome PowerPoint for delivery at the MDRT in June and the extended deadline from March 15th is for Monday’s April 5th … and there is no electricity due to high winds on Vancouver Island.

Even though I have laptop power via battery for a few hours I have no internet connection without  a router and modem  and internet connection via Aircard isn’t possible due to living in a smaller rural area that can only get a ½ to 1 bar of signal even at the best of times and right at the moment there are zero bars.

Creating part of the PowerPoint slides is possible but it would be hit and miss without the graphics and I would rather do complete work one slide at a time from start to finish.

My desktop computer has two side by side 21” screens where I can run the text copy for the presentation on one screen and the PowerPoint that I am creating on the other and I need the internet to be able to download graphics from iStock as I create the PowerPoint slides.

So it is no go.

Laura is out shopping with her mom Helen and Shadow and I are guarding the house.

I suppose I could go up to Starbies where I can get internet connection but I really need the full desktop with twin screens to do the job.

As I sit here enjoying the sound of the wind and the rain i think I so how do I get over feeling Powerless?

I could just sit here and listen to the wind and the rain just like getting to Zen, chopping wood and carry water.

As we have just finished the first quarter of 2010 I’ll use this time to fine tune the 90 days goals for the second quarter of 2010 and before I do that I’ll take the time to write and give thanks for the brilliant results that we have attracted in the first quarter of 2010.
