As you can see on this chart, it is very, very important to have both a strong plan and a strong vision, and for them to be integrated and working together.
The late great Thomas Leonard, founder of Coach University, gave us these definitions:
Vision is about what you see as possible.
Purpose is how you are going to be, to further that possibility.
Mission (plan) is what you are going to do, to make that vision happen.
