Leading Advisor, Inc. has partnered with our client to recruit a Financial Planner to their team. Our client is a well-established Okanagan, British Columbia based Financial Planning Firm.

As a Financial Planner with our Firm, you will focus on developing and deepening client relationships by providing high-quality advice and service. As a dedicated entrepreneur, you understand that growing a practice is all about building long-term relationships. You realize that your clients are your greatest asset, and your priority is providing financial planning advice to help them meet their unique dreams and goals.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Working with existing clients and referrals, you will identify your client’s life and financial goals, provide comprehensive reviews, and build long-term relationships through financial planning, cash flow planning expertise, relationship building, and ongoing services.
  • 50% of your time will be working with existing clients, and 50% will be invested in creating new business.
  • Conduct reporting and relevant analysis using results to draw conclusions and make recommendations. One of the things you love is the opportunity to share ideas and strategies with the team, as we all have unique abilities.

Your Qualifications:

  • Licencing required of one or more of the following: CFP / PFP (Personal Financial Planner) / CLU. 
  • LLQP licence required.
  • Two to five years or more experience in Canadian financial services with client-facing experience at a wealth management firm with exposure to financial planning, insurance planning, and behavioral investment planning – true holistic planning. 
  • Experienced with reviewing tax returns, spreadsheets, investment statements, insurance statements, and insurance summaries. Familiarity with corporate structures is an asset. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to build trust and relationships and to work collaboratively, confidentially, and independently.
  • Strong familiarity with financial planning tools/software
  • Marketing experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others.
  • Outstanding listening, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and present data.
  • An eagerness to increase your knowledge with a commitment to continuous learning (CE credits) and a strong interest in ongoing personal and professional development.
