Last Friday’s blog was entitled Visa Takes Small Business To New Heights and shared a Press Release about an Elevator Pitch Contest from Visa where you could not only win $10,000, you could also win tens of thousands of dollars in free publicity for your business.

Last Friday also included me updating the Overview for my Clear Your Roadblocks financial advisor speaking presentation for NAIFA’s Career Conference & Annual Meeting September 10 – 14 where I will be speaking.

I wrote two that follow which included an Elevator Speech Version.

Having said this, I could take the draft below and enter Visa’s Elevator Speech Contest.

Looking at what is on my plate, at the moment I’m feeling that this may not be the best use of my time because we have an abundant amount to clients and new prospects to look after and while the Elevator Speech is part of our Marketing Funnel, our Client & Prospect Funnel is full of financial advisor and investment advisor coaching prospects which is in alignment with one more thing in the Marketing Funnel; choose a niche, solve their problems and become a recognized expert.

Visa’s Elevator Speech Contest would surely give us a lot of free publicity but small business and entrepreneurs are not a niche market, they are a demographic and one cannot be a become a recognized expert to a demographic, you will wear yourself out … how do I know this? I’ve done it.
