My mother Irene passed away peacefully at 90 in her sleep on the evening of April 27th. May her soul be rejoined with my father John and may they both live on in everlasting happiness.
Obituary for Irene Reilly
Reilly, Doris Irene February 20, 1920 – April 27, 2010 Irene passed away peacefully at Glenwood Care Centre in Agassiz. Irene was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, John Reilly, and is survived by her son Simon, and daughter in law, Laura. Irene was born in Scunthorpe, Humberside, Lincolshire, England. She was a student nurse from 1939 – 1945 in Hull, E. Yorkshire, England. In 1957, she moved with her husband and son to Canada. She worked at the Chilliwack General Hospital until her retirement in 1967. She was a devoted member of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Chilliwack, and the C.W.L. “Young at Heart”. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Logan Manor and Glenwood Care Home for their loving care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 11 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilliwack, BC.
