In The Absence Of Acknowledgement

A Slow Start Today

A slower start today. True confession – I slept in which is VERY unusual for me. It is the last coaching week of the month for me and with the relocation and with three weeks of getting settled, coaching and public speaking I deserve to sleep in. It is because I’m nice enough, smart enough and gosh darn it, people like me!

In The Absence Of Acknowledgement

I just got off the phone with a client that is doing extremely well.

Yet they are not taking the time to acknowledge the great work that they are doing and hence they are not feeling it.

They had forgotten that head office had called to tell them what a great job that they are doing and had forgotten that they are in the top 20% of the company and that their week was filled with 80% activity that was generated by referrals that they are receiving that they are not even asking for versus doing the cold calls that they were doing in the past.

The request was for them to take the time on a daily basis to journal all the good things that are going on in their business and personal lives.

In The Absence Of Acknowledgement they are driven by subconscious beliefs that they are not good enough and that they are not doing a good enough job. This in turn generates unhappiness.

This is JUST Existing.

There is NO JOY in the work that they are doing.

All is not lost. My job is to bring my clients back to the joy that they are creating through their work. The joy that they are experiencing creates things like;

* Head office calling to tell them what a great job that they are doing
* Being in the top 20% of the company
* There week was filled with 80% activity that was generated by referrals that they are receiving that they are not even asking for

This is an acknowledgement of thanks and the great work on behalf of my client.

Thank You Duncan Robinson

We did a Free Teleclass yesterday to introduce the Being An Advisor Coaching Program.

Duncan Robinson of Freedom 55 Financial was a guest speaker on the call.

Duncan shared his Values and Vision with the listeners. He said many inspirational things while on the call. One that stood out to me was “His Values & Vision helps to amplify his energy and he passes this energy onto his clients”.

Referral Script

The best time to ask for referrals is often, always and every time you know that you have provided value. I passed on the following script on how to ask for referrals;

“The way I build my business is through building relationships with people just like you who appreciate receiving the same kind of value that I just provided you with. Who can you introduce me to that will appreciate the same kind of value?”

Mini Blogs

I enjoyed today’s Blog in that it included very small pieces of the many different ideas and situations that I run into over the course of a day.

I’m going to explore this in more detail next week.

Have a great weekend!
