Hire Up + Angels + Fleetwood Mac

Monday is a Buffer Day ( Planning Day ) and thank goodness … time to re-focus.

Today’s blog is a blog mash-up as there is a lot going on at Leading Advisor;

  • Starting the week off fresh with an Empty Head which I completed on Friday afternoon and my relaxation was compounded by working in the garden over the weekend. Both of these I highly recommend as keeping everything in the mind makes everything an A Priority. “You make it difficult, because you insist there must be more that you need to do.”
  • Should I watch the Vancouver Canucks play Chicago tonight?
  • Tuesday and Wednesday are Focused Days ( Client Coaching Days ) which I am really looking forward to.
  • Still working on The Six Degrees Of Connection PowerPoint, tried to do some work on Saturday, made some progress but ran into PowerPoint Writers Block and I pray that I will complete the PowerPoints on Thursday and Friday as they are Buffer Days ( Product Development Days ). The Six Degrees Of Connection PowerPoint includes an updated presentation on The Elevator Speech, The Referral Card & The Parable. Seems to me that The Six Degrees Of Connection PowerPoint may not be completely finished until this time next year as it will always be evolving.
  • We have to kick it up a notch and advance our financial advisor speaking marketing to The Investment Dealers Association Members, The Million Dollar Round Table and The Mutual Fund Dealers Association Members.
  • We have completed the hiring process for our new Administrative Assistant and our dreams have come true as we met our goal to Hire Up, meaning we hired someone that is overqualified for the position that just happens to have loads of experience in marketing and publishing. Our new Administrative Assistant starts the first week in June which will give me time to re-visit our vision, goals and action steps for the rest of the year.
  • Every once in a while, one attracts an Angel. An Angel is a client that refers you to twelve qualified speaking prospects. Perhaps our prayers will be answered as we want to fill some open speaking slots for September, October & November.
  • I suppose we all have an all time wish list of live artists that we would like to see and Fleetwood Mac has been on our list for a long time. I had tickets way back in 1998 when they were a no-show for their Vancouver concert. We will fulfill our dream this Friday at GM Place in Vancouver.
  • Somewhere in the midst of all of this I have the May E-Newsletter to complete … Hmmmmmm? What to write about?
