Good Old Howard Roark!

Whew! What a Monday.

I sent my final review to my editor of Friday night and we had a weekend in the city and my mind was like quicksand on Monday morning trying to get re-engaged into completing the workbook.

To get re-started with the work book I find that I have to re-read the whole thing to get of sense of it all and say to myself and create a picture in my mind’s eye saying “that piece is there” and “that piece is there” and “that piece is there” and … and so on and some where in the midst of this the inspiration takes hold.

The day started out with meditation and truth be told, as I got back into the workbook, it was tough to hold my energy together and stay focused. I’m embarrassed to say that it is taking all of the resources that I have to get this project completed. Thinking like an employee, I did something that I have not done for decades wishing it was lunch time at 10:30am.

You can throw the top 5 fears out the window which include public speaking being close to the top of the list and put writing a book way up on top of the list because writing a book will test everything you’ve got.

Then somewhere around noon and around page 50 of the draft workbook, just as I was about to cave into my last good excuse to call it day, I ran into my old friend Howard Roark and The True Value Of Integrity.

Good old Howard gave me the insight to get my game face on and find the thread of the inspiration that I was looking for and I didn’t look back from them on.

I’m happy to say that I only have one or two articles in the workbook to go and then I can complete the final chapter.

It’s now 4:30pm on Monday and I’ve just come back from my first full blown cycle on the machine through Rathtrevor Park since I fractured my elbow over weeks ago.

An outstanding start to the week!
