Financial Advisor Coaching – Face Challenges With Dignity And A Clear Mind

As the German poet, Rainier Maria Rilke said we must be willing with dignity to face life’s inevitable difficulty and suffering.

I would not go so far as to say I’m suffering, in fact things are not difficult, but I have a lot of things going on and I am feeling stretched out of my time comfort zone.

Laura and I are in Kelowna, BC to sit in on our client’s financial planning workshop to enable us to enhance our personal understanding of our client’s revolutionary financial planning system. This will enable me to write a marketing plan for my client at the same time.

Having already postponed our visit, this is the only time that we could have done this given my busy coaching, speaking and writing schedule.

Monday was invested in the workshop which will be completed by noon Tuesday giving us some business and personal time in the afternoon.

We will wrap up with our client on Wednesday morning and be on the road by noon.

We drove to Kelowna on Sunday which is a 5 hour drive and a 1 ½ hour ferry ride. Laura did most of the driving and this allowed me to sit in the passenger seat with my laptop connected to the internet via air card.

A big thank you to Laura in advance because our trip home will be a repeat to allow me to complete the October Advocis.ca article, book bits and pieces and the September e-newsletter which is late.

I’ve shared this for two reasons. One is to demonstrate that our business and personal lives are not without challenges and that sometimes one has to stretch to get to where they want to go. The other is to demonstrate that writing is a great way to get things into perspective to create a clear mind to remind oneself of the vision and the big picture.

The big reminder for me is that September is 5 week month in our world. So next week the week of September 29th is an off week from coaching. I will have all the time in the world as all I have to do is speak in Kitchener and Winnipeg and meet with some COI’s along the way.
