Extreme Appreciation

Feeling extreme appreciation at 5:45pm @ YVR on Thursday, October 28th in advance of my homeward bound and 11th flight in 12 days covering 8000km speaking to nearly 2000 financial advisors at 8 events … extreme appreciation to my clients who’s schedule flexibility allows me to speak … extreme appreciation to the executives, producers, sponsors and attendees of the Great West Life, Hub Financial and London Life conferences … extreme appreciation to Laura and our team at Leading Advisor … extreme appreciation to the staff of Air Canada, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Delta Hotels, Executive Royal Inn, Fairmont Hotels, Riviera Parque Conference Centre, West Jet and to the many taxi drivers along the way.

So what’s next?

I’m reminded of the Zen saying; “before Enlightenment chop wood carry water, after Enlightenment, chop wood carry water” and of what Bob Dylan said to Eddie Vedder when Eddie asked Bob for some sage advice; “don’t let the guy in the back seat do the driving”.

My next steps are to practice by Giving Thanks, Empty My Mind and by spending quiet time with myself and my lovely wife Laura … the most loving, stable and understanding person that I have ever known.

I’m off the Blog on Monday for a long weekend to rest.
