Dismount! NOT! It’s not that steep going down, although it can be slippery with the wet leaves at the bottom. I have ridden up and down this hill somewhere between 50 and 100 times and when I am out of shape it is the lungs that run out of gas, when I am in shape it is the legs that run out of gas. I always make it up without getting off the bike. Except for Sunday when I could not get a grip because of the pain of the stitches in my hand.
I had a blistering coaching and speaking schedule from late August to the end of October. I got off my cycle / cardio routine from 3 – 4 times per week down to one … if that.
Over the past 3 – 4 weeks, I have built my cycling back up to 3 – 4 times per week.
Given that this is the time of year when it is so easy to slip into no exercise, I am going to post my 1 hour, 10 km power cycle completed exercise dates in my Blog to keep myself honest;
Let’s see how well I do cycling right through the winter.
