Business Coaches – Worth It or Not

First off, Happy 3rd Wedding Anniversary to my loving wife Laura.

A couple associates and clients drew my attention to this posting on “For Advisors Only”.

Business Coaches – Worth It or Not

Are they really worth the time and money or is it just a story of those that can – do – and those that can’t teach? There are a lot of them out there coaching and I suspect they bring multi levels of experience ranging from ‘Select, AA, AAA, Junior and NHL ‘ to use a hockey analogy. And charge NHL prices!

Here are my thoughts.

Yes there are those that can and they do and there are those that can’t and they try to teach and many do not last.

In the bigger picture, it is really all about values and serving the values that you have or the values that you like to offer.

Some people love to work with people and provide them with financial services.

Some people love to work with the people, who love to work with people and provide them with financial services.

Coaching can be explained by the following definition;

Affinity

– a natural attraction, liking, or feeling of kinship
– partner with someone that loves what you are trying to learn
– an attraction or force between particles that causes them to combine

As you can see, my reply is offered with a view to Values & Behaviors.
