Blogging – Commentary, Descriptions Of My Events , Self Indulgent Online Diary

According to Wikipedia, this is the definition of Blogging.

A blog (a blend of the term web log)[1] is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites.[2]

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability of readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (art blog), photographs (photoblog), videos (video blogging), music (MP3 blog), and audio (podcasting). Microblogging is another type of blogging, featuring very short posts.

As of 16 February 2011, there were over 156 million public blogs in existence.[3]

My Monday April 4th blog included the following list of projects that I said that I was committed to working on for the next 19 days ( back then ) in advance of Laura and I leaving for Nuevo Vallarta on April 23rd. This is so that I am not returning to projects that require an enormous amount of energy to get them off the ground again.

It’s Sunday morning, I have 13 days including today before we leave on the 23rd and I’m getting my mind sorted out in advance of investing time to create a submission for the One Page Business Plan for CE Credits under the new 2010 Advocis / CLU CE Credit Rules.

This is a picture of my computers / desk using block time on Sunday morning, April 10th while working on the submission of my One Page Business Plan PowerPoint under the 2010 Advocis / CLU Institute Guidelines for CE Accreditation.

From left right:

  • The One Page Business Plan Webinar PowerPoint
  • The One Page Business Plan Executive Briefing
  • The One Page Business Plan PowerPoint Master
  • My journal
  • One Page Business Plan Senior Consultant Training Manual & Resource Guide

My submission strategy is using The One Page Business Plan Webinar PowerPoint as a current datum point and then updating / adding to PowerPoint Notes using The One Page Business Plan PowerPoint Master that I created back in January with The One Page Business Plan Executive Briefing.

Hopefully, this will all make sense to the CE Accreditation folks at Advocis / CLU Institute.

If you are a client or have been reading my blog for a while you’ll know what I am talking about when I talk about the Empty Your Mind Process. I used the above projects list as a benchmark to work from to do a review and to add in project work that I working in advance of leaving for holidays.

I’m investing this self indulgent blogging time to authentically get my mind emptied and clear at the same time as I have had a sinus cold for the last few days and I took Saturday completely off to catch up on my rest. At the same time I will not give myself another self indulgent luxury day to call in sick which would be so easy to do because I’m self employed. Then again, I wake up unemployed every morning so to speak.

The following is an expanded list of projects, the projects that are in bold are from the previous list and update notes are beside them in italics about the process that has been made. The balance of the things on this list either exist or they are new projects that I need to be aware with deadlines anywhere from the end of the month to June 30th.

Please note the most time sensitive items are at the top of the list.
