An Exciting Week With Too Much Going On?

My client’s have many exciting things that are going on and I have conversations with potential new clients going on at the same time. With all of this going, it is important to provide my clients with extreme care. This is handled by reviewing each of their files at the beginning of the week and silently contemplating their names & files and I then see what comes to mind. The same is done with potential new clients.

We must remember to act upon making calls to create speaking opportunities for the second half of 2006. Now is the time to plant the seeds so that they yield fruit.

We have located quite a number of gigs for the second half of 2006. We still have to act upon them.

Next week, the first week of April is a heavy travel week with Speaking Presentations in Nanaimo, London and Winnipeg for Advocis and Pro-Seminars. We will have to work at adjusting my appointments around this heavy travel schedule.

On top of all of this we have a number of writing projects to complete;

– 12 Day “Being” An Advisor Installment
– April 1st E-Newsletter
– CE Credit Application
– Client Enrollment Survey Questions
– Public Speaking Folio and Web Site Pages Update
– Team Building Seminar Course Material
– PowerPoint Edit For Advocis

On top of this we have to get a Booth together for the Advocis event in Kelowna on April 28th. This will consist of enlarging the new banner that we have for our web site so we can hang it on the back of the booth. We will be offering copies of the “Being” An Advisor Survey and we will be doing a draw for a Luxury Engraved Pen Set that is being sponsored by one our client’s, WorldLux. Check out the Luxury Engraved Pen Set. We will have to make sure that we integrate the speaking presentation that I am doing with the booth.

While I’m at it, if you are in the “know” you must have heard that square watches have been back in style for a couple of years now. Round watches are still OK as are double breasted suits. The square watches and the three button single breasted are the way to go. Here is an Accutron that is worth a look.

So as not to make this week about too much going on, the above list needs to be prioritized to the following and the rest will have to wait;

– 12 Day “Being” An Advisor Installment
– April 1st E-Newsletter
– Public Speaking Folio and Web Site Pages Update
– Team Building Seminar Course Material
– PowerPoint Edit For Advocis

All of the above should start to become easier as we are going to hire a part time typist to transcribe the writing that I do while I am sitting on airplanes and in airports. Not ready to drag out a laptop on an airplane as I’m rather private about my thoughts on first draft. No one needs to be reading over my shoulder! 🙂

Kim Black tells me that we are going to have a new version of our Web Site to look at by the end of the week. We will not be publishing the Web Site until sometime in April as there is copy editing to do.

Along with this, there is Bookkeeping, Invoicing and Payables to follow up on.

The icing on the cake is I have to renew my Drivers License by my birthday which is the first week in April.

So I started this week off with my usual focus and I published yesterday’s Blog first thing.

And then I was honestly tired out.

Too many early mornings and with this being the 5th week of the month, I gave myself the liberty to take a few hours off in the morning.

I went back to work from 9am to 11:30am and then I did something I have not done in quite a while. I went out and did a 1 hour hard road bicycle ride that involved a hill climb for the last half hour and that felt energizing, refreshing and rejuvenating. This is going to be part of my creed every other day because you know what they say! “There are no fat old men!” I like the idea of having the lean body that cycling produces. It is the muscle strength and cardio all rolled into one.

I then went back to work for the afternoon.

All work and no play make Simon a dull boy
