With at least a half dozen people in line, I looked over the six customer service representatives helping customers at the United Airlines counter in San Francisco and rested my eyes on one representative thinking to myself that this was the representative that would help me to get a flight to Toronto after arriving from Reno at 1:15pm PT, five minutes after my scheduled flight had already left.
My customer service representative turned out to be the representative to the left of the representative that I thought that would help me.
I explained my situation and the customer service representative called Air Canada and got me a 3:15pm flight. I explained that I had two bags and the customer service representative arranged to have my baggage rerouted to my Air Canada flight.
While the customer service representative was rerouting the baggage through the computer, thoughts of arriving in Toronto to speak at Sun Life’s Sales Congress on Monday without any luggage and dress clothes were running through my mind.
Laura said “it is alright, you are going to make it”.
I repeated an affirmation of “luggage will arrive safe and sound” and right about that time, the representative that I thought that would help me said “Air Canada will not receive rerouted luggage from us, you will have to check the luggage in yourself”.
It’s 5pm PT and I am in flight to Toronto with my luggage travelling with Air Canada. Laura should be the best part of the way home to Vancouver.
Sunday is an off day in Toronto to get some extra rest and some quiet time after working since May 31st serving our clients, preparing for and speaking at The Million Dollar Round Table, The Great American Advisors and Sun Life.
