The Imperfect Communication & Planning System

There isn’t a perfect communication and planning system and I’ve given up trying to create one.

I went so far in the early days of the PC when Apple, Commodore, IBM and Wang were all dawning on the horizon to finance building my own CRM System when no one had heard of Act, Maximizer or TeleMagic … only to find that I was $6000.00 into it to be advised that Wang wasn’t D-Base / IBM compatible.

Here are a few pictures to demonstrate how I focus my creativity.

This is a picture of my laptop with my journal on top opened to a mind map page that I had created in transit through airport waiting rooms, security, boarding lounges and while in the seat preparing for take-off while on my trip to Toronto on Sunday, March 27, 2011.

  • Ideas In Via; Conversations, E-Mail & Media to
  • Evernote or
  • Journal or
  • Maximizer ( if client related ) or
  • Microsoft Tasks
  • Empty My Mind via Dragon using Microsoft Excel or MindGenius and then
  • Empty My Mind by ( categorize, sort, prioritize, estimate time, schedule )
  • ( reintegrate with ) One Page Business Plan
  • Take Action
