Laura, Helen ( Laura’s Mom ) and I took a drive and ferry rides on Saturday, August 15th over to Denman Island and Hornby Island just to see what we could see.
This was also good for a total business break and mind rest as last week was a really full week.
As we were driving Helen asked “if you were going to build your dream home with a water view, where would it be?” As we were having lunch at the Sea Breeze Lodge on Hornby Island, Helen said; “this would be a great place for you to come for a week and write your next book”.
These took me by surprise as I have been so busy in this economy that I had forgotten the dream of a home with a large deck with a water view and the dream of taking writing vacations and the serenity and inspiration that both of these would bring.
