Stop The Financial Rubbernecking!

According to Wikipedia Rubbernecking describes the act of gawking at something of interest. It is often used to refer to drivers trying to view the carnage resulting from a traffic accident. The term literally refers to the craning of a person’s neck in order to get a better view.

Yes the latest upsets in the world are not pretty and while these events could be causing carnage in the markets; Are they causing you to Rubberneck and to look back in fear instead of towards your Vision?

Sorry to Rubberneck you by posting this graph that I obtained from CNN yesterday.

But isn’t it the nature of the world to always be upset and to always find a way to settle back into what becomes the new normal.

So are you going to stare in the rear view mirror?

Staring in the rear view mirror is like looking for gray hair … oh look, there’s one, there’s another, then there is no hair, then there is that skin blemish … I wonder what that could mean?

What matters most at times like these is your Vision.

Answer these questions to create a bigger Vision.

  • What will this business look like in 1, 3, 5 yrs?
  • What type of company is this?
  • What markets does it serve?

  • What sales goal are we striving for?
