Yesterday’s blog talked about life after the financial crisis and it is about reinvention.
Following through with my commitment to reinvention, I invested Monday morning in reading Seth Godin’s new book called Tribes.
How’s that for reinvention … some take Monday morning to plan their week while others run around with their hair on fire for four hours … why not read an inspiring book?
Now that my Curing Your Unmet Needs Disease book and tradeshow booth are complete and that the new web site will be completed by the end of the week, it is time to take action to reinvent myself.
Seth’s book is all about being a leader and adding value to a group of like minded people and the timing of Seth’s read couldn’t be better as I am looking for ways to add value to the financial advisor and financial planner niche that I serve.
Reinvention – there is life after death
Here are my Reinvention Plan for the next 12 months.
Personal
• Auto – switch to a more energy efficient / safe vehicle that meets our travel needs ( luggage )
• Clothing – purchase new glasses
• Community – teach a business workshop locally and give the proceeds to charity
• Family / Friends – reconnect with family in Canada, England, Ireland and the US on the back of the international speaking dates that we will attract
• Financial – invest thousands
• Health – loose 20 pounds
• Hobby – learn to golf ( with Laura )
• Home – NAR ( no action required )
• Intellectual – take courses on ______________ ( to be determined )
• Spirituality – continue to experience miracles
• Spirituality – stay awake and give thanks as many times as I can during the day
• Spouse – love my wife more than ever
