Financial Advisor Coaching – What Does One Do & Believe?

During times of uncertainty, what does one do and believe?

Your first step is to take some time to disconnect from the fear based beliefs of the world.

Note to self. Change the station on my radio alarm to all music versus being hit with bad news before I’m even awake.

It’s 6:15am on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 and I woke up at 5:30am to hear something like “the Asian markets fell nearly 10% overnight” as I reached out to quickly hit the off button.

So the bottom is dropping out of the world economy I thought.

Then I thought to myself, what does this really mean?

Another thought; during times of uncertainty, what does one do and believe?

Right now I’m doing what I recommend to my clients.

Taking a time out from the world and depending upon your creed; journal, meditate and pray and get associated to the real truth that is going on in YOUR world.

Get associated to the simple truths, the simple things in the world that give you the most peace of mind.

I say simple things because it is the big things that have gotten a lot of us into trouble.

The boat, cars, clothes, cottage, holidays, house, expectations, investments, leveraging, money, time share and the list goes on and on.

Said another way; I am not my money and I am not my possessions.

Make an inventory and give thanks for all the simple things, skills and talents to help you to get right minded and detached from the fear based beliefs of the world.

This list of things can include;

• I am thankful for this day
• I am thankful for the love that I share with my wife Laura
• I am thankful that our family is safe and well taken care of
• I am thankful for the friends that we have
• I am thankful for the opportunity to have created a system to help my clients to eliminate fear and live a fulfilled life
• I am thankful for our daily bread

My closing thought is the governments and the financial machine will sort it out.

This too shall pass.

At the same time, we all just might have to work a little longer.
