Depending on your level of interaction on Facebook, you may have noticed that you are only seeing repeated posts from about 25 of the same few people because Facebook has a new algorithm.
Apparently, Facebook’s new algorithm only chooses the people who will read your post or said another way, your ad.
There is a post going around Facebook (below) that suggests that to override the new algorithm one is to send out the message below requesting a comment from one’s Facebook friends. Apparently, this will override the new algorithm. I suppose this assumes that your Facebook page will receive more comments from one’s friends in the future. I suppose this assumes that in order for you to go beyond only seeing repeated posts from about 25 of the same few people because Facebook has a new algorithm, you will get it that you have to be more active with your interaction on Facebook.
Who knows; Maybe the message below was generated by Facebook to keep you and your friends more interactive? Maybe the message below is a hoax?
It could stand to reason that if one’s level of interaction on Facebook is already high enough, meaning commenting on friends’ posts, then one should not be “only” seeing repeated posts from about 25 of the same few people and hence not bothered by the new algorithm.
Last time I looked, Facebook is a business and not a free unsponsored, never-ending free yearbook.
Let’s Facebook it, adverting costs money.
Facebook’s income relies on targeted advertising based on the information that you provide.
Facebook is asking for more information so that Facebook’s algorithms can best target you and your friends with more and more targeted advertising for things that you want but don’t need.
There is some irony in that every time you Add a friend to Facebook, you just signed them up to receive an Ad from Facebook. There is some more irony in that every time you put a post on Facebook you are placing an Ad.
Advertising. Definition: To call the public’s attention to your business.
Facebook might become like Television; you get to the point where you have had enough of 20 ads every 15 minutes and you turn it off and pay to go to Apple TV or Netflix to avoid the advertising.
The main thing to remember is, Facebook is not a place to get your personal needs met. Your personal needs must be met from within. There is no person or possession that will meet your personal unmet needs from the outside in. All this will do is leave you being codependent waiting for the next person or possession to fill the empty hole that can never be filled by Facebook.
There is a post going around Facebook
Okay. I did this several months back but I am doing it again, as I still only see a handful of posts from my regular peeps.
Fighting this Facebook algorithm change, because I’m totally noticing I am not seeing so many of my friends’ posts.
Here’s how to avoid hearing from the same 15 FB friends and nobody else. This post explains why we don’t see all posts from our friends. Funny, though if I followed you on Facebook I would see what you post.
Not anymore. Your Newsfeed recently shows only posts from the same few people, about 25, repeatedly the same, because Facebook has a new algorithm.
Their system chooses the people who will read your post. However, I would like to choose for myself, Therefore, I ask you all a favor – If you are reading this message leave me a quick comment, a “hello,” a sticker, whatever you want, so you will appear in my newsfeed‼
Otherwise, Facebook chooses who to show me and I don’t need Facebook to choose my friends!
Do not hesitate to copy and paste on your wall so you can have more interaction with all your contacts and bypass the system. That’s why we don’t see all posts from our friends.
Thanks for the heads up from those who already copied and pasted the above. Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and “copy” will pop up. Click “copy.” Then go your page, start a new post on your page, then put your finger anywhere in the blank field. “Paste” will pop up and click paste.
Voila, you’ve just copied and pasted!!

“If it is to be, it’s up to me” I’ve used this statement a lot over the years but Simon has brought me to realize it. After only a short period of time in Simon’s coaching program we have built a strong relationship. This relationship helps me to dig a little deeper into the assignments and lessons giving me clarity and a solid direction going forward. Using the tools that Simon guides me with in each session and follow up has proven valuable to start and continue any process with momentum and leadership. I did not expect that Simon would truly lead by example, after following him on social media, working one-on-one with him and seeing him live in person you understand that he truly teaches what he lives. The best part, there’s more to come and I look forward to continuing to build a solid foundation for my business and personal life.
