James Dean – “You’re tearing me apart!”
It’s Monday evening, April 23rd, 2007 and it’s the eve of creative destruction for a number of reasons.
If you are a hockey fan in the province of British Columbia you know that the streets will be empty and the living rooms and bars will be full from 6 – 9pm PDT with hockey fanatics glued to TV sets as the Vancouver Canucks face the Dallas Stars in a sudden death game #7 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Will the Canucks come prepared to play as they squandered a 3 game to 1 lead? The good news is they are on home ice and the fan noise in GM Place will be deafening.
Laura and I invested the day in the completing of and final meeting relating to our Quarterly Review, Goals & Actions Plan.
The actions will creatively destruct our business as we know it and the outcome will create the space to complete the book and DVD leading into the launch of a Group Coaching Program which will be sooner rather than later.
In the past thirty days we have gone through client comings and goings for one reason or another. Some have removed their roadblocks and met and exceed their goals and have left us for now and some we asked them to leave as the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
We have a few spaces left for one on one coaching clients, with ample prospective client communications and we have 7 Financial Advisor Public Speaking Presentations between now and mid June ( that is it till September 🙂 ) and I thought that we could squeak through without creating the Group Coaching Product until September.
That was until this morning when a client asked me to work with seven of their advisors and they want this started in early May.
On another note, it was a treat to find out that we are going to be on the same Speaking Card with Norm Trainor of the Covenant Group at Advocis Durham in Oshawa, Ontario on May 17th.
We have been pushing up against a creative and client ceiling now for a while with very little time to expand the business. Please note that I still take weekends off and have time for a life with Laura.
At the same time, as our Vision, Purpose & Mission Statement suggests, I feel compelled to get our message out to as many advisors as possible and to do this changes have to be made to our business which includes;
• Reducing some of our One On One Coaching
• Adding in an Automated Follow Up System to our Financial Advisor Speaking Presentations
• Adding Group Coaching
So what shall we call the Group Coaching Product?
