It’s two weeks before the Labor Day Bell Tolls and while your ego might be panicked because you didn’t get enough summer and drop everything to the get most out of your summer this is the time to get your act together in advance of Labor Day so that you can work more efficiently and get better results from September to December.
Get your office and your game plan cleaned up and ready to go. Clean up those files, put up those shelves, purchase those tools and do whatever it takes because it is hard to look forward while things are distracting you.
At the same time, eat those healthy foods, drink plenty of water and do that extra workout.
On our end it’s time to replace my;
• Tablet PC with a Toshiba Tablet because the old one has already had a hard drive replaced and now the screen is flickering and I can’t have it blow up in the middle of a speaking gig to a few hundred financial advisors
• Glasses because it is over two years since an eye check and all this computer work takes its toll and I am going to upgrade the frames to a UK brand called Fysh at the same time
• Three button suits are on their way out if not history already and a new two button suit is in order
• Shocks, tires and wipers because a lot of wet winter driving is on the way
All of this segways into what I talked about in Nonsense To Try To Move Ahead, How Can We Sleep When Our Beds Are Burning and Before The Labor Day Bell Tolls.
This weekend was excellent because it was the first one in years when I have not woken up to an unfinished book … the writing is finished save for a few tweaks and the editing is almost complete. I still have loads to do that I outlined in Friday’s blog.
So in celebration of the completion of the writing of the book here is what we did over the weekend; Kayaking On Craig Bay, Saturday Night At The Fire Pit and Sunday Morning At My Englishman River Office.
