Laura and I returned on Sunday Evening, March 8th from a much needed 10-day break at Rancho Pescadaro, near Todos Santos, Mexico. We have been working flat out, balanced by meditation, prayer and yoga, working 5 – 6 days a week since the beginning of January
I’m looking to get back into the heart of social media but my social media circuits are connected elsewhere at the moment and here is a brief update.
Back on February 16 I blogged “Just at the moment I’m at near capacity with coaching and the writing that is required for multiple 2015 MDRT New Orleans deadlines that include speaking presentation bio, transcription, book and trade show booth. This is on top of the creative work that is required for upcoming speaking dates.”
I spoke at NAIFA DuPage on February 26th and flew Friday, February 27th from Chicago to Los Cabos to meet Laura who flew from Vancouver.
The first of three last working things I did on Friday, February 27th was attend a conference call regarding the 2015 MDRT in New Orleans with MDRT Executives and Speakers at 4pm MT.
The second last working thing I did was quote a client for 34 Values and Behaviors Assessments for their management team that they had to have NOW!
The final last working thing was to work with our oh-so-valued virtual assistant Deanne McAndrews to finalize The Inspirational Tipping Point Financial Services Edition Book to meet a March 31st MDRT deadline.
I’ve been working on the 2015 MDRT New Orleans deadlines since September that include speaking presentation bio, transcription, book and trade show booth and as a result of the conference call, there is still lots of work to do to be ready for the MDRT.
So getting back into the heart of social media … my social media circuits are still connected elsewhere at the moment and I am putting my heart into finishing all the pieces for the MDRT and with hiring a Director of Marketing.
More on hiring a Director of Marketing later.
So I’m Continuing Taking A Social Media Time Out From 140 Character Posts To Facebook, LinkedIn And Twitter and I’ll just be posting a Monday Blog.
Laura and I took a 10-day break to restore our hearts and rest our minds.
When our minds are constantly connected to articles, blogs, clients, emails, phones, speaking or texts, we don’t give our hearts a way to message us. All our minds’ circuits are busy and our inner voice has no way to get through about what is most sacred. Our minds try to distract us into many little bits and pieces.
When carrying a vision with heart one must take the time to disconnect from the constant and never ending server of distractions and log back into the sacred server of all.
I’ve been looking for a cross to hang in my office for some time and bought this cross that depicts the sacred heart from an artist in Pescadaro.
This symbol of heart is shared and is hung in my office as a constant reminder to get out of my mind and into my heart because honestly, there is so much going on with Leading Advisor that my mind can’t do it alone.
