Sellf Promotion Or Client Confirmation?

Sellf promotion is not a typo as I’ve done this on purpose to draw your attention to the purpose of my writing this blog.

Is what I am about to write at the bottom of this blog absorbed with myself or am I sharing with my clients?

In my mind I’m sharing with my clients to demonstrate that I am walking my talk, using the same systems that I am suggesting, demonstrating results, being authentic & transparent and drinking the Kool-Aid.

We are very busy because of a combination of things that include a growing Canadian economy and we are approaching 5 years to being 101% committed to working in the financial advisor and investment advisor niche. Sidebar – I can remember asking Nelson Deslippe to hold me accountable to the public commitment that I made to him about working exclusively in the financial advisor and investment advisor niche … and I have had a few false starts along the way.

I’ve been working with financial advisors and investment advisors as far back as 1990, but I was only dabbling.

Dabbling because while I was working with financial advisors and investment advisors, I was working with clients that were; coaches, cosmetic sales people, crane importers, developers, fine writing instrument retailers, Hollywood stars, IT business owners, photographers, publishers, realtors, real estate office managers, real estate office owners, salmon farmers and sign manufacturers … can you see the things that these clients have in common. Yes they are all entrepreneurs and they all needed help with clearing their roadblocks and the challenge for me was trying to be all things to all people.

So with a 5 year commitment to the financial advisor and investment advisor niche approaching with the anniversary of Laura and I moving to Parksville on Vancouver Island on January 19, 2006, I am wondering what I can quit as I am working Sunday.

So I started 8am Sunday morning after an excellent Friday night & Saturday off, well mostly … Pirate Radio DVD Friday night, 10am sleep in on Saturday morning, followed by a trip to Costco, home odds and ends, fantastic dinner by Laura and Georgia O’Keefe DVD … neither movie really grabbed me.

With a short week last week of back to back coaching calls and an off Staycation week the week before I’m giving myself permission to work today to get back on top of my game even though next week has a few Buffer Days.

Steps;

  1. Emptying My Mind
  2. ID Projects for week
  3. Acknowledgment List

Having done all of the above I am feeling inspired and ready to go.
