Resetting Your Vision

Richard Florida writes in The Great Reset that the most innovative times in economic history were in the depressions of 1873 and 1929 and the ones that thrived during these times were those that had the ability to reset their vision.

I started yesterday’s blog Happy New Year 2010/2011 on the first working week of the real New Year because this is when work begins again after a summer of time to relax and reinvest in business when clients may not be as demanding as at other times of the year.

During the summer, we have been busy with;

  • Providing coaching clients with extreme care – thank you to my clients
  • Getting CE Credits – Hooray!
  • Rebuilding our web site, product offering and enrolment funnel – under construction and thank you Kim Black
  • Completing a one year review with Tiffany – Congrtulations Tiffany
  • Learning the iPhone and Apps – thanks to Advisor.ca
  • Researching a draft a new Data Management Plan – to get out of iOverwhelm
  • Drafting a One Page Business Plan for 2013
  • Becoming licenced to facilitate The One Page Business Plan
  • Staycation days – loads of fun!

The One Page Business Plans consists of a Vision, Mission, Objectives, Strategies and Actions all on one page in 29 lines.

I completed The One Page Business Plan Facilitation Training on August 31st and started our Staycation and this is my second day back so I’ll be writing a lot of more about The One Page Business Plans in future blogs.

What do Simon Reilly, Mark Carney, Jim Flaherty, Moshe Milevsky and Terry Zavitz have in common?

Voting for Advisor.ca ‘s  Name That Visionary will commence on September 7th 2010 (just after Labour Day).

If you previously voted you’ll receive an email voting reminder on September 7th.

Round One is over. Your votes have been cast and tabulated. Advisor.ca’s expansive list of candidates is now down to just 20 entries displayed below.
