On The Road To Concentration Camp

I joke with Laura that Shadow goes to Concentration Camp when he goes to Doggie Day Care from time to time to help him to get socialized to other dogs. While I’ll give Shadow 9 out of 10 with his puppy training, he is still a ball of energy and Doggie Day Care helps him to deal with his DADD ( Doggy Attention Deficit Disorder ). When Shadow comes back from DDC, he is settled and his ability to concentrate is one thousand fold and his DADD is under control and his Dad ( me ) enjoys our little friend more than ever.

It’s 10am PT on Monday and I’m one hour into my 9am flight to Toronto followed by a flight to North Bay arriving at 8pm ET.

I am appreciating the experience of extreme organization because I went to my own Concentration Camp on Sunday to get myself and my On-The-Road Office organized for Monday to Friday as I will not get home till Friday @ 8pm PT.

Time is too valuable to waste it watching in flight movies and laying about the hotel and I would rather write the script to the movie of our success which means working on the projects that I listed in yesterday’s Blog.

I’ve already knocked off e-mails to Laura, Tiffany and clients, researching Optimism for October’s E-Newsletter and a review of the PowerPoint that I will deliver and I’m just taking a break by writing this Blog in advance of getting into making changes to the actual PowerPoint on my laptop.

Going to Concentration Camp includes;

• Clear My Mind
• ID My Projects
• Time Blocking using an old fashioned paper week-at-a-glace time management system.

Having completed all of this enables me to experience the following benefits;

1. I own my time, time does not own me
2. My projects are listed and prioritized
3. Everything is delegated to Laura, Tiffany, Kim and Simon
4. I have 1000% focus
5. Best of all, I have the space to invite inspiration in

Now, if the in-flight service would just hurry up … I’m starving having gotten up at 4:45am.

11:45am PT – in-flight service arrived and changes to PowerPoint on my laptop 98% complete . I have around a dozen client e-mails to reply to that came in late Friday and over the weekend and I’m going to write the replies so I can e-mail them when we land … after I do 15 – 20 minutes of meditation.
