I wrote this entry on Thursday morning after our forth day of a heat wave of mid 30C°. It hit 40C° in Port Alberni / Sprout Lake on Tuesday when we were out with friends on their boat.
With about six days of rain since May, I’ve been joking that we are on Second Summer which is akin to the Second Breakfast of The Hobbit’s.
Low 30C° temperatures continue over the weekend and the forecast is for high 20C° for the week of August 3rd with rain on Thursday, August 6th. I never thought that I would welcome rain on the Wet Coast in the middle of summer.
