“A hell of a month, the best month we have ever had” was the response to my question of “how are things going” to the last financial advisor coaching client of my financial advisor coaching day on Wednesday. My client has the best part of 30 years invested as a financial advisor providing group insurance, life insurance and money products.
Another seasoned veteran financial advisor coaching client shared his strategy of “closing boxes”. Part of his regular routine is to schedule time to list all of his open projects, write the action steps to close the project or the box and take action to close as many boxes as he can.
I suppose that I am closing an open box by writing this blog directly into Word Press versus my usual cutting and pasting from Microsoft Word 2007 … 🙁 because Microsoft Word 2007 has just too many bugs in it to work with Word Press.
Another closed box is I installed a Dual Band Wireless N Router to my network to allow me to have extra strong internet connection anywhere in my home which allows me to write my blogs away from my home office … you see I write to debrief my day and relax away from my desk.
I’m really stretching with back to back financial advisor coaching and prospect calls Wednesday – Friday and looking forward to closing a lot of open boxes on three back to back planning days that I have booked off Monday – Wednesday, December 8 – 10. One of the open boxes to close will be trying to install a fix to get Microsoft Word 2007 to work with Word Press.
Then again, Microsoft Word 2007 not working with Word Press is such a miniscule little thing when I stop and consider the blessings of all our financial advisor coaching clients and financial advisor coaching and financial advisor speaking prospects that continue to stream in.
