Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary just announced that Integrity is the number one word that people looked up the meaning of in all of 2005. http://www.m-w.com/

3 : the quality or state of being complete or undivided : COMPLETENESS

The question I have is –

Are people looking up the word;

– To see if they are staying in Integrity?
– To see if someone else is in Integrity?

To me, the whole notion of Integrity starts with the word “In”. To me this means what is going on Inside versus Outside. So if someone is look up Integrity coming from the place of “To see if someone else is in Integrity” they are likely coming from a place of their dysfunctional ego mind. This is out of Integrity. If this is the case, their dysfunctional ego mind is in judgment of the other person because their dysfunctional ego mind likely believes that another person has somehow wronged them and therefore the other person must be out of Integrity. Therefore the dysfunctional ego mind must look up the meaning so that the dysfunctional ego mind can prove this so that the dysfunctional ego mind can be right about what is wrong in their dysfunctional ego mind.

Remember the old expression? When you are pointing the finger at someone else, there are three pointing back at you.

Take a look at the number one meaning.

Notice that it ends with Values.

Values are where it all begins.

Some believe that Integrity means living your Values. Therefore, if you know what your Values are, and you are living them, you are living in Integrity.

What if one of your Values was to Understand?

Would you or your dysfunctional ego mind be looking up the word Integrity to right about what is wrong?

There is either Understanding or Judgment.

When there is Judgment there can be no Understanding.

When there is Understanding there is no Judgment.

Whose Integrity are we talking about?

– The Integrity of your Being?

– The Integrity of your dysfunctional ego mind?
