7:15am – February 22, 2006
Attraction is continuing to flow. Another huge opportunity came in late yesterday.
We have been asked to be a faculty member for a well recognized advisor training program. More on this one to follow.
I’m taking this time to think about two appointments that I have for today.
Then it’s back to my 60 Day Review. I am at the stage now where everything is sorted out, categorized and filed. I’m giving the Project List a once over and then it’s;
– Vision
– Projects
– Projects Deadline
– Priority
– Estimated Time To Complete
– Schedule
– Action/Delegation/Systematize
– Schedule Time To Plan & Think
If you have been reading you will note that the above list has been refined from yesterday.
I will be taking care of a few client and prospect appointments until 1pm this afternoon.
1pm – February 22, 2006
We just booked an exclusive private presentation for senior life insurance advisors making $250K + for March 2nd.
I’m not often drawn away from my commitments. Today is going to be one of those days. Over the lunch hour I was watching the Olympic Men’s Hockey, Canada vs. Russia and it is No Score after two periods so I’m taking a Hockey Break.
I’ll still bring my 60 Day Review notes with me.
3:30pm brings another very selfish action and that is a trip to the Spa to sit in the mineral bath and for a massage. Well deserved after working my tail off with the move.
So I may not be back today 🙂 .
1:50pm – February 22, 2006
Ouch! Canada! – Russia 2, Canada 0
Look at the bright side. We just saved at least 3 hours times 3 – 4 more games totaling 9 – 12 hours To Invest In Your Personal Olympics – Your Business & Personal Lives.
2:22pm – February 22, 2006
Projects List complete.
As I reflect, I still have some significant Projects to work on this week;
– E-Newsletter
– Vision Update
– Marketing Plan Update
– Public Speaking, List Of
– Laura Delegation Plan
– Financial Plan / Month End
– Web Site Upgrade Review
As I look at the above, how many are in Covey’s Quadrant Two Time Management?
1) Important & Urgent
2) Important & Not Urgent
3) Urgent & Not Important
4) Not Urgent & Not Important
According to Covey, the problem most people have is with Quadrant Two, the Important but not Urgent.
A better question is how many are in Quadrant One? ZERO/NONE
Quadrant Two E-Newsletter
Quadrant Two Vision Update
Quadrant Two Marketing Plan Update
Quadrant Two Public Speaking, List Of
Quadrant Two Laura Delegation Plan
Quadrant Two Financial Plan / Month End
Quadrant Two Web Site Upgrade Review
However, these two have a deadline so we will change them to Quadrant One;
Quadrant One E-Newsletter – February 28th
Quadrant One Financial Plan / Month End – February 28th
Note that I have no Quadrant Three or Four. In my mind, these would only be brought on by a dysfunctional ego mind’s unmet needs, limiting beliefs and emotions. Glad we are not hooked by that – thank you very much.
The other thing that keeps me out of the Quadrant Three or Four craziness is the way I run my business.
I work with clients the first three weeks of the month, budget accordingly and that is why I have the space to do this and share this with you.
As I reflect on the above list, the absolute number one thing on the list is Vision which I will be sure that all Projects are well connected with.
The reason that I say this is we have at least 25 Speaking Presentations booked so far this year, right across Canada and one coming up in the USA.
We can go out and do great work doing speaking presentations and have the audience say that was a great speech as they are doing now.
Then again –
We can go out and do great work doing speaking presentations and have the audience say that was a great speech as they are doing now and re-connect with us through the web site through our e-newsletter, e-books and e-programs and they will gain and sustain the long lasting effects of what I talk about in the speaking presentations. This is what it is all about.
